Before Feverdream will start
recording their third full-length album 'The boy nobody wanted' is their first new song
released in 2001. It's five minutes of fat postrock-emocore: drive, restrained tension and
dynamics the way they only can do it. contains also "Kick it through" by Green Hornet |

Dont expect unnecessary subtleties from
drummer Arnold (17), bassist/singer Saskia (18) and singer/guitarplayer Ren (21), who are
Feverdream from Rotterdam, Holland. On their second full-length (their first Lets pretend
its forever was released by themselves) they present their songs with uncompromising
inevitability. In the tradition of bands from labels such as Touch & Go, Trance
Syndicate and Kill Rock Stars they execute their songs, straight from the
heart, full of
youthful unrest. The roaring and pushy bass and the nervous swinging drums form the energetic and driving fundament for the hectic and staccato guitar, behind which somewhat hidden dreamy melodies create an edgy kind of pop-flow. Once in a while this full-on loaded train slows down a bit to give room to reflective and introvert thoughts and almost folky girl-singing. The sky is full of it shows the whirlwind Feverdream like they are live: Raw, exciting, attacking, rough and ready, hectic and still sensitive. And next to their urgency Feverdream has something you dont see and hear that very often in popmusic: they are possessed. To give that all the freedom and not derogate from the directness of the band the songs are recorded live in the studio with minimum overdubs. |

| 'In the inlay it says:
Passion,
progression and stability. It shows that's the right combination. This album jumps
heavily, scours and bangs till the last song' (OOR) 'This threesome is very young. But they kick extremely. Their album The Sky Is Full Off It consists of edgy, rebellious rock that regularly flies out in a Jesus Lizard kind of way' (OOR) 'Feverdream plays absolutely exceptional, feverish vibrating, edgy Guitarrock-Emo-Noise with hectic rhythms, that without doubt would have been released on Touch & Go if they hailed from Chicago. I'm sure we will hear more from them in the near future (8 out of 10)'(German magazine XO) Belgian paper Teek:'Rotterdam at its best. Creaking, edgy guitars that love Fugazi and Shellac. A punkvoice that at times shouts Black Francis-eat-your-heart-out. Drums that cut heads together with spit sharp sexy female backing vocals. Basslines so dry you can set them on fire.' |
