The Bent Moustache

The Bent Moustache (as on the debut album "Forst"): Ajay Saggar: Vocals, Bass; Pim Heyne: Guitars; Wilf Plum: Drums

Indie rock with dub-influences.

Hailing from Manchester, Edinburgh, and Wormerveer, Netherlands, now living in the small city of Krommenie (near Amsterdam), The Bent Moustache members have been busy in the Dutch and British music-scene already for quite some years. They are: Ajay Saggar (ex-Donkey/Dandelion Adventure), Pim Heyne (ex-Donkey/Revenge of the Carrots) and Wilf Plum (ex-Dog Faced Hermans/Donkey).

Starting off during the post-punk boom in Northern England/Scotland, Ajay and Wilf moved to The Netherlands to join the politically aware, (post-)punk scene (The Ex etc.) in and around Amsterdam in the late eighties/beginning of the nineties.

Together with Pim they started Donkey, released two full-length albums (in the UK on Guided Missile Records) and were invited to do a John Peel-session in 1995.

After a period of side-projects and jobs as tourmanagers and soundmen the three started The Bent Moustache and released their debut 7" in January 2006.

Their debut full-length cd "Forst" was released in the UK on May 7, in Europe on October 29.

The album is distributed in the USA by Revolver USA and is available as download (separate songs and as an album) at all the worldwide download shops.

February – April 2007 The Bent Moustache were on a seven weeks, 35 gigs USA/Canada tour as support to Sebadoh.

In a new line-up around core-member Ajay Saggar the band did tours in Italy and the UK end of January till half of February 2008.

In the UK The Bent Moustache did sessions for Resonance FM and John Kennedy's XFM programme.
